About me
Hi, I'm Sander.
I spent years as a corporate Account Director, so looking after customers has always been top of mind. When I was made redundant, my tools were gathering dust and I'd always enjoyed helping people, so I started taking on jobs to support my family.
Two and a half years later, here I am. I enjoy what I do and take a lot of pride in my work, which is why I tend to get booked up quickly.

FAQs
Questions people often ask
How does pricing work?
Each job on my Pricing page shows a ballpark price per item, and there's a minimum call-out of £65. Build your quote online, and I'll confirm your price before any work starts.
How quickly will you get back to me?
I aim to respond within 24 to 48 hours. For anything urgent, call me on 07957 573626.
Can you come sooner?
Yes. Tick priority booking on the quote form. I'll reply the same working day and aim to get the job done within 2 working days of confirming your booking. It adds £50 or 10% of the job, whichever is higher. If I confirm a priority date and can't make it, you don't pay the priority fee and get 5% off the job. A £50 deposit by bank transfer secures your date once I confirm. If I can't fit you in, I'll tell you straight away and you pay the normal price.
Are you insured?
Yes. I'm fully insured for the work I do in your home, and any trusted trades I bring in through Local Treasures are covered by its insurance.
Which areas do you cover?
Farnham and the surrounding area, including Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet and Guildford. Pop your postcode in the quote form and I'll confirm.
Can you supply materials, like a TV bracket?
Yes. If you don't have a TV bracket, I can supply one and include it in your price. For other jobs, just tell me what you need.
Can I send photos of the job?
Please do. Photos help me give you an accurate price without a visit, and you can add them to your quote request.
Is there anything you don't do?
I don't do electrical work that falls under Part P, which needs a qualified electrician, and I don't do bespoke carpentry. If a job isn't right for me, I'll tell you honestly.
What if I need a cleaner, gardener or decorator?
I run the West Surrey area of Local Treasures, which covers cleaning, gardening, decorating and more. Every Treasure is interviewed by me personally.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or cash when the job's done. For priority bookings, a £50 deposit by bank transfer secures your date once I've confirmed I can fit you in. It's part of your priority fee, not an extra charge.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Anything I install, like a TV, shelves, blinds or a key safe, is guaranteed for 12 months. If it comes loose, I'll come back and put it right free of charge. For repairs to something that's already there, I guarantee my repair, but not the parts of the original item I didn't touch. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
Do you charge VAT?
No. I'm not VAT registered, so the price I quote is the price you pay.
Do I need to be home?
Yes, for the first job, so we can meet and you can show me what you need. After that, if you're happy to, we can agree a way for me to get in, such as a key or a key safe.
Do you take away rubbish and packaging?
For small jobs I tidy up and put any packaging in your own bin. For flat-pack, I flatten the boxes for your recycling. If you'd like me to take it away, waste removal starts from £35, depending on how much there is. I'll include it in your quote if you ask.
What if I need to cancel or move my booking?
Just let me know as early as you can. With less than 24 hours' notice, there's a £25 late cancellation charge. For priority bookings, the £50 deposit isn't refundable with less than 24 hours' notice.
Do you work evenings or weekends?
My normal hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. I can sometimes do evenings or weekends. These are charged at priority booking rates plus 10%, so a £100 job would be £160.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes. I'm DBS checked and keep it up to date.
Are fixings included in the price?
Yes. For picture and mirror hanging, shelving, TV mounting and panelling, I supply all the fixings, plugs, screws and adhesives, and they're included in my price.
What's the £65 call-out?
£65 is my minimum charge for any visit, and it covers my first hour. If you'd like me to come and take a look at something first, that visit is £65, paid upfront by bank transfer to book it. I can't always guarantee a fix in that first hour, but I'll tell you honestly what it needs before doing more.
What does my quote include?
Your quote states exactly what's included, including any materials, so there are no surprises on the day.
What is the Postcode Perk?
Book with a neighbour and you both save. If you and a neighbour with the same postcode both have jobs for me, and I can do them on the same day, you each get 15% off your job price. For example, jobs of £200 and £300 become £170 and £255. The discount doesn't apply to priority fees or waste removal. Tick the Postcode Perk box on the quote form and tell me who your neighbour is. I need to know their jobs too, so they can either send their own request, or you can add their jobs to yours and I'll split the bill on the day.
Do you offer a free key safe?
Yes. When your confirmed job comes to £250 or more, I'll supply and fit a combination key safe free on the same visit (worth £55). Just tick the box on the quote form. Priority fees don't count towards the £250, and it's one per household.
